This field blend of 40 to 50 year old vines of Viura, Malvasia and Grenache Blanc starts life on this organic estate in Rioja Alavesa. Picked and fermented together in oak and then aged for 9 months in barrel and another 6 months in the bottle. A spicy entry leads to a rich mouthfeel balanced by a bright and tart acidity which lends energy. Layers of baked pear, spiced apple and fleshy peach all mingle in a medium to full body that finishes creamy, yet fresh. An absolute stunner with food.
