Right away there is an intriguing depth to the nose with fig, cranberry and toast. Those aromas translate to the very same flavors on the palate that is chewy, yet light on its feet. Gobs of flavor to spare, this wine is so balanced and so drinkable. I've had Amarone that doesn't touch this wine as far as elegance, balance and complexity, at twice the price.
