This is the best of the best from Matarromera and really up there qualitatively for Ribera del Duero. Dark, rich and tannic yet at the same time really expressive. Dark, dry figs, raisins but also blue/black fruit, tobacco leaf and baking spice. There's a meaty/bloody quality around the core of fruit and spice with a long, textural, dusty, tea-flecked finish.
