This beauty of a Laphroaig clocks in at 104.6 proof, but certainly doesn't drink like it. Classic Laphroaig nose. The entry is lighter, fruitier and sweeter, with the sweetness tamping down both the alcohol and the typical medicinal notes. A mouth-filling dram. Creamy, punchy, fruity, smoky, charred, peaty, salty, briny - all harmonious. A wonderful expression of Islay, albeit an elegant and sweeter take.
